Counseling

Our mental health services emphasize high-quality treatment, respect, and affordability. We work with adults, people in relationships, and families of all kinds to achieve their therapeutic goals.

Affordable Services

For more than 50 years, William Temple House has been a leader in providing accessible counseling. We offer one of the most affordable mental health services in Portland, with pay-what-you-can fees ranging from $0 to $80 per session. Our counseling sessions are provided by graduate-student interns who are in the process of completing their Masters degrees, and in some cases by volunteers who are licensed or pre-licensed therapists. All counseling sessions are offered by appointment. We offer telehealth and in-person sessions based on client preference. We do not provide emergency or crisis counseling services.

To Request Counseling Services

Download or print and complete the applicable Request for Counseling Services form. You may submit this form via email to counselingapp@williamtemple.org , mail it to our Hoyt location (care of the Counseling Department), or drop it off when our offices are open.

For relationship or family counseling, please be advised that each individual should fill out their own copy of the Request for Counseling Services form. We will process requests as soon as possible and be in touch by phone, email, or letter regarding next steps. Please note: If filling out the Request for Counseling Services electronically, please test save to be sure your answers will not be lost.
