For 60 years, William Temple House has been a trusted leader in accessible mental health care in Portland. We offer sliding-scale counseling services starting at $1 per session, because we never want cost to be a barrier to getting support. Services are provided by graduate-level interns, associate-level clinicians, and licensed mental health professionals and are available in-person and via telehealth, by appointment.
Are Our Services Right for You?
Because of the nature of our outpatient services, we are unable to serve individuals who are experiencing psychosis, unmanaged mood disorders, substance use or eating disorder concerns where this is the primary focus of treatment, or individuals who are only wanting case management services.
We are open Monday (9am-5pm) and Tuesday through Thursday (9am-8pm) by appointment only. We do not take walk-ins.
How To Request Counseling Services

You’ll be guided through a few short questions and can submit your responses directly online: no printing, emailing, or scanning required. If you are seeking counseling as part of a couple, family, or group, each person should complete their own form. Once submitted, we will review your request and reach out by phone or email to share next steps.

Fees for Current Counseling Clients
To pay your counseling fees online, please use this secure PayPal form. Our suggested fee is $1-$80 per session. If you cannot pay for counseling at this time, you will be able to receive counseling services without payment.
