Justyna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon, with professional roots in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Dominican University with a focus on health and well-being, grounding her holistic approach in the connection between basic needs and youth mental health.

Over the past four years, Justyna has worked closely with children and teens impacted by a wide range of traumatic experiences, including community violence, witnessing and experiencing physical and emotional abuse, and systemic trauma. She also has experience supporting neurodivergent youth, bringing a person-centered, strengths-based approach to working with diverse learning and developmental needs. Her experience spans school-based therapy, residential care, and mental health services within the juvenile justice system, primarily in under-resourced communities.

A central tenet of Justyna’s clinical approach is fostering autonomy and equity, areas where young people are often underserved. She prioritizes intentional rapport-building as a foundation for meaningful therapeutic work and integrates curiosity and creativity through play therapy, narrative therapy, and therapeutic art. Justyna is skilled in identifying how behavioral patterns often reflect unmet needs in the home or environment. She believes effective support extends across a young person’s school, family, and social systems and approaches care collaboratively by engaging key supports to provide holistic, coordinated care.

Justyna brings this same relational lens to supervision. She finds deep purpose in mentoring emerging clinicians and creating a reflective, person-centered space to navigate the emotional complexities of this work. Her supervisory style is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and her own formative experiences as a supervisee.

Outside of her professional role, Justyna enjoys spending time with her two cats (often wrapped up together in cozy blanket burritos), reading, exploring different forms of painting and art, and indulging in her favorite snack: cheese. 🧀
