We believe it is critical for families to have their basic physical needs met. Focusing on long-term planning and solutions is difficult for people who are underclothed or underfed. We lend a hand up, not a hand out, so that families and individuals may maintain self-sufficiency while they get back on their feet.
Instead of distributing pre-packed bags of groceries, we provide a self- service shopping area where families can choose their own food. This allows people to take ownership of their meals and nutrition, while also supporting cultural diversity in the diet.
