Calming the Storm: Mindfulness for Stress Reduction class begins April 7

We all experience stress, and while some amount of stress is inevitable, too much can be harmful to our bodies, our minds, and our overall sense of well being.

William Temple House is offering a class in using mindfulness to reduce stress.

Mindfulness is a simple and powerful tool that helps us become more aware. When we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings, without judgement, we are better able to approach our daily challenges.

The class is open to all adults free of charge. Sessions are Thursdays from 7 to 8:15 pm April 7 thorugh May 12 at William Temple House in Northwest Portland. Click here for location.

Those attending will:

  • Learn about the basics of mindfulness practice.
  • Have group discussions about our experience.
  • Share information mindfulness meditation.
  • Learn how to use mindfulness to reduce the stress of daily living.
